Kids Bikes and Scooters are perfect for outside play
Getting kids out and about in the fresh air in Australia is relatively easy with Australia's gorgeous weather.
Our wheeled toys collection includes scooters, ride ons, trikes, bikes and much more specially selected for their quality and versatility. Kids will enjoy exploring the great outdoors on their favourite scooter or bike.
For kids who enjoy the idea of driving check out our massive range of kids electric cars that look just like the real thing. All of Toy Universe electric cars have parental controls which over-ride the engine for the safety of your little driver.
Riding scooters, bikes and trikes in the park or on the footpath has always been a favourite way to get kids outside playing, with the huge range of ride on toys available now there will be a favourite ride on for your child.
Kids typically start ride ons as toddlers on small push alongs, such as the Scramble Bugs from Mookie, that develop their gross motor skills and balance. An alternative to push alongs are balance bikes which are built for children as young as 2 years up to 5 years, and have been shown to be the best way for kids to learn to ride a bike.
Once your child is ready to ride a bike start them off on a bike with training wheels and a parental handle such as the Moon Patrol Boys Bike or the Avigo Princess Bike.
Some children prefer to ride scooters rather than bikes as they can just as fast and the motion required is quite different. You can start your child off on a scooter from as young as 12 months on a Highway Kick from Scoot & Ride that combines a seat with a scooter and grows with your child. Another excellent first scooter is a tri-scooter that teaches children to steer with their body weight as they lean into corners.
Older children will enjoy riding Inline Scooters in their favourite design, and some kids move into professional scooters or electric scooters as they progress with their riding.
For those kids who like to drive, our range of electric cars for kids is an awesome alternative. These cars are made to look like mini versions of the real thing with battery powered motors and RC parental controls to over-ride any driving mistakes your little speed demon may initially make.
