Knowing when to start your baby on bottles and solid food is a very personal choice. Babies tend to give us signals when they are ready to try solid foods, the most clear sign is a baby that is watching as you eat and reaching towards the food. Each baby is different and watching for these signals is a good start on deciding when your baby is ready to eat.

Start babies off on mild solid food such as rice infant cereal, and be prepared to get messy ! The BOON Baby Feeding range is a terrific place to start when you are looking for products to start your baby on solids. The BOON Squirt Feeding Spoon is an easy way to get messy pulped food into your babies mouth. Make sure you have plenty of JJ Cole Baby Bibs on hand for this first stage.

Highchairs are a safe, secure place for your baby to learn to eat, pop them in and let them watch you prepare their meal. If they are getting restless or bored you can always try a suction toy such as the Lamaze Freedy Suction Toy to keep them entertained whilst they wait.

Whilst your baby is learning to eat don't forget you may need baby bottles for water or milk, and as your child gets older you may want to move them to sippy cups. The next natural step is to offer your child meals on plates or bowls and the BOON Baby Feeding range has some amazing options for feeding your toddler.
